Mine (98 model) runs a solo seat and cleaned off rear fender. See my earlier posting about cleaning up the stock unit. If you want to run a tombstone light and have it look right, you will need to run a "sweeper" fender, like the Sumax street sweeper, an Arlen Ness tail dragger, or a 45 inch flathead/61 inch Knucklehead fender. A tombstone light on a bobbed fender looks terrible. Check with your local Harley aftermarket shop for the HD pieces (Custom Chrome or drag Specialties catalogs), or contact Planet cruiser if you want ro stick with strictly metric parts. You can use Highway Hawk, but sometimes the quality is not all that great, sometimes, not always, they do make some very nice looking parts.
Aftermarket support for the Savage is very light. Expect to adapt alot of HD or Yamaha chassis parts and trim items if you intend to get serious about customizing your bike. Remember, if decide down the road to sell it or trade it in on another bike, custom touches can detract as well as add to it's value. If you are going to do irreversibla modifications, plan to keep it until it falls apart.
Good luck and happy surgery on your ride.
